How do you shine through in the Job Search Jungle?

This is what 15 enthusiastic young people wanted to know too. They chose to spend a day of their holidays learning some hints and tips to help create resumes that get read and how to impress when they go for a job interview – skills that are going to assist them job searching. The 2realise your career workshop was supported by The Hills Shire Council Community Grants Program and held at Rouse Hill on the 6th July. Topics covered included personal branding, resume writing and interview tips. Discussions focussed on considering the process from an employer’s point of view and how best to show you can meet their needs throughout your resume and interview. Thank you to Dennis Knox (Ability Options) and Raquel Ricafort-Bleza (The Hills Shire Council) for answering questions and sharing their advice and experience with the group as the ‘careers panel’ experts.
